If you have more than one Google account, chances are that you’ve experienced issues and general frustration when repeatedly logging in and out of them.
With this month’s update, we bring you not only multiple account relief but also new integrations, chat organization, link management improvements and more.
Let’s take a look.
Group passwords are here to help you manage app group logins in a neat and easy fashion. Desktop.com let’s you store your credentials for Google, Microsoft & Apple and will allow you to apply them to all apps that are a part of the respective platform. For instance:
- Entering your Google account credentials for Gmail will allow you to select these login details for any Google apps on your desktops, e.g. Drive, Calendar and Sheets.
- Entering your Microsoft account credentials to MS Word will allow you to add those login details to all Microsoft apps on your desktops, e.g. Teams, Outlook and Hotmail. And so on.
This will allow you to easily and instantly find the right credentials for a particular service that is part of one of the supported groups.
New App Integrations
For the next batch of apps to get integrated with Desktop.com (check out the previous Slack integration here), we are adding:
- The ability to search across integrated apps right from the search field in your Desktop.com account
Chat updates for each connected app to ensure you and your team can stay informed on key events right in the context of your Desktop.com workspace and ongoing conversations.
First up: Jira, GitHub & Google.
With each added integration, you’ll be able to get a better overview and create the ultimate control central for your entire online worklife.

Easily manage multiple Google & Microsoft accounts
The reasons for having multiple email accounts can be many. Separating work and personal, improved subscription control, security considerations, having multiple assignments or businesses, and so on.
This all makes sense from an organizational standpoint, but actually switching between the various accounts can be cumbersome and disrupt your focus.
Enter this month’s Desktop.com update. You’ll now be able to keep several Google or Microsoft credentials within your Desktop.com account so that you can easily open any of your email accounts straight from there! Organized, productivity friendly and just as easy from any device.

The chat layout is getting a face lift in this update. All your chats will now be organized and appear under one of the following sub-groups: pinned chats, integrations, channels and direct messages. You will also be able to filter your chats, so that you can easily find the exact conversation you’re looking for.
Folders & Tags
While we’re on the theme of streamlining and organizing we’re also introducing up to five layers of link folders as well as improved tags. Using nested folders will drastically improve the ability to sort, find and share your saved content. The smart tag selector, with filtering and suggestions as you type, and alphabetically sorted tag lists will help quickly launch you straight to what you’re looking for.
This release will also include several other updates and improvements, such as:
- Ability to expand and collapse the desktop menu to save space in your dashboard view
- Copy links in chat
- Optional preview for links within chat
- Filtered Search
- General performance improvements in preparation for full offline mode
- Lobby screen for guests entering into a meeting for added security
- Ability to call Slack users
